Deceased Scientists, Mediums and Researchers

    Lawrence Dean has received, through his various forms of mediumship, numerous messages stating that various deceased scientists, mediums and researchers are playing a role in his and Patricia Begley's work. Since 2002 the couple have asked for confirmation of this involvement via EVP and ITC. This has resulted in them receiving the following voice extracts and images.

Thomas Edison

    On the 7th October 2002 a voice saying Edison manifested onto the audio tape of EVP researcher Linda Williamson whilst she was conducting a telephone experiment for the couple. ITC researchers Maggy and Jules Harsch Fischbach and the Scole Experimental Group have stated they have received communications and images from Thomas Edison the famous American scientist and inventor. In the 1920s he was said to have been working on a device that would be capable of communicating with deceased human spirits. Witnesses to this device included Dunninger, the renowned mind reader and a General Electric engineer who claimed to have worked on it.

Fredrich Jürgenson

    On the 3rd February 2003 Lawrence received via the auspices of Linda Williamson's EVP, the name of Jürgenson. Renowned EVP researcher Fredrich Jürgenson has made himself known to a number of experimenters since his death in 1987. Most notably he managed to manifest his face onto the television set of Claude and Ellen Thorlin, which at the time was set to a blank channel and producing random noise. The image that was photographed appeared whilst his burial service was taking place.

D. D. Home

On the 4th January 2004 Lawrence and Patricia captured a video ITC image that resembled Daniel Dunglas Home. This picture compared favourably with photographs of the celebrated Victorian medium, his dark curly hair and distinctive moustache being clearly visible. Home, who was tested by various psychical researchers including the great physicist Sir William Crookes, produced numerous forms of physical phenomena and became legendary for his incredible feats of levitation.

"Mary Evans / SPR"

Eleanor Sidgwick

    A video ITC image in the likeness of Eleanor Sidgwick, one of the past presidents of the Society for Psychical Research (SPR) was received by Lawrence and Patricia on the 22nd March 2004. The captured image is similar to an old photograph of Eleanor, which shows her looking down reading. Her lowered eyelids and angular jaw line can clearly be seen. Eleanor had a great interest in spiritualistic phenomena and was an enthusiastic member of the Society, being greatly involved in its meetings and administration. She died in 1936.

Professor Arthur Ellison

    A voice clearly saying the name of Ellison was captured onto audio tape by Lawrence on the 23rd March 2004. It was found by Linda Williamson when she analysed the tape for him on her computer and whilst she was playing it backwards. Professor Arthur Ellison had twice been the president of the SPR and was one of the main investigators of the Scole Experimental Group.
